Dr. Lee N. Allen, a native of Montgomery, was Dean of the Howard College of Arts and Sciences of Samford University. Dr. Allen has numerous other Baptist histories to his credit.

"Montgomery Baptist Hospital (later Baptist Medical Center of Montgomery, now a part of Baptist Health Services) opened its doors on July 29, 1963. It was the culmination of a dream of Dr. Blount F. Davidson, Superintendent of Missions, Montgomery Baptist Association, 1945-1956. He believed that Baptists of Montgomery should enter the healing ministry" (from inside cover flap).

"Expanding the Dream recounts the growth of Dr. Davidson's vision far beyond his initial dream and its transformation into a modern medical miracle in only twenty-five years" (from inside back cover).

This hardcover book printed in 1988 does show signs of age, but is in good condition.
