This auction offers a really sweet Early American Pattern Glass covered butter dish from a children's toy set. The pattern is "Nursery Rhyme" introduced by Cambridge Glass Company about 1900. The lid has four different scenes that are repeated on the plate--much nicer than the photos. The glass has a soft influorescence under a black light. The butter dish measures 2 1/2" to the finial and 3 1/4" across. It is in very good estate condition with only a small factory "burst bubble" on the underside of the lid (see photo) and one tiny flake on the edge of the plate (too small for photo). There is no other damage and no repairs noted. This very desirable "Nursery Rhyme" covered butter dish is sure to be a perfect addition to a collection of child's toy glassware! The cost of U.S. insured shipping and very careful packing varies with your postal zone--see USPS estimate above.
