Driven by curiosity, the Sultan each day delayed the execution of his wife until he finally renounced his desire to have her killed. The Middle Eastern presentation of the text has split oblong type and wide outer margins, which contain the page numbers and titles in handsome arabesque designs, and complement the lavish full color plates by Arthur Szyk.
