Rod: New Never been fished 10'6" 10-20lb Batson Rainshadow rod that I built myself.  the rod is wrapped with a royal blue thread and a metallic pearl trim.  I placed a classic cross wrap on the butt section with a white and silver trimar underwrapping.  I used Pacbay blue ring tic casting guides.  the handle is a of quality cork and an pacbay blue aluminum butt capp.  I used an older style G-Loomis reel seet.  the Rod casts great and has surprising power.   It would make na excelent bobber and spoon rod with the extra length.  it also casts medium to large spinners quit well.

Reel:  A 5600WS Abu Garcia reel, loaded with 30lb tough line.  the reel is a right hand retrieve.  It has an aerated spool and the thumb casting button. It is a smooth reel with a solid drag.  The reel is used,  I took it fishing once and have casted it several times on this rod.

 

The rod and reel go very well together.   the combo is light and casts very well.  This is a very good fishing tool that would bring years of quality fishing.

A: the line would matc up fin with the rod. It is more of a moderete fast action with lots of power. You would have the option to bump up the line rating if you desired or use a braded line Marcus
