The Contents:

Instructions on how to use the S.P.I.T. methodology and the most common 48 chords: Major 7, Dominant 7, Minor 7 and Half Diminished in all twelve keys.

The SPIT Book bridges the gap between those who can and those who can not improvise by supplying a method called "improvisational reading".

The four simple lines per page consist of the basic musical patterns (sequences) that are universal to any type of improvisation such as rock, jazz and classical to country and bluegrass. 

Do not be fooled into thinking that reading from a page is not improvisation. This is improvisational reading!

The musician using the SPIT Book picks the page that best fits the song (which is usually the key of the song) and then, plays from any of the four lines WHILE the piano, bass and drum play (for example) C Jam Blues.

The legitimate player can play the four lines from left to right or jump from line to line! measure to measure! or even play the lines backwards! Have fun! It's only four lines and there are basically no "sour" notes! The musician decides what is played and when to rest while still possessing the "safety blanket" of notes to gleen from.

Construction/Design

The removable pages ( white 20 weight lb. 8 1/2" X 11" with an 88 brightness) are encased in high quality plastic sheet protectors and held together with a durable presentation three ring binder. The S.P.I.T. Book weighs over two pounds and is built to endure years of rough academic use.
