Purchases help support Hart's Reptile World's "unwanted & unloved reptile arrivals ".
Our website www.hartsreptileworld.com has been totally revamped so be sure to drop in to see what we're all about and meet some of our rescues and dedicated volunteers.
Not the greatest photographer when it comes to shiny things as the glare covers the detail.
These are all handmade and tooled with the twisted wires and chains looking very delicate and intricate.
This is a magnificent handmade Alpaca Silver Set. It includes a pair of 2 1/4" dangle earrings, a gorgeous 16" detailed necklace, a delicate looking 8” bracelet and a striking 10” anklet, all with elegant Turquoise stones.
These necklaces look terrific with turtleneck sweaters.
Love creative people, at a Christmas Bazaar a lady came back and bought several more anklets. She said at 10” with an extension they looked great as necklaces. She got so many compliments she came back to get more to make into Christmas gifts.
Clever, aye!!! Obviously, only intelligent people with vision shop our store!!! Lol
Even though it’s called Alpaca Silver it’s really an metal alloy similar to a lightweight stainless steel. The neat thing is that it doesn’t tarnish just wash it with a mild soap and water and shiny as new.
MEANING OF TURQUOISE
Ancient cultures mined Turquoise over 6,000 years and considered one of the oldest known stones.
Turquoise varies in color considerably, from a greenish-blue to sky blue. Most also has mottling or flecks of other colors.
The name Turquoise means "Turkish stone" as it came to Europe by way of Turkey.
Turquoise is one of the oldest protection stones known and was considered a symbol of wealth in many ancient cultures.
Turquoise is a powerful Healing Stone and frequently used along with copper to increase its healing properties.
Some believe if given turquoise by a friend, that stone would protect the wearer from negative energy and bring good fortune.
Turquoise is considered the carrier of great wisdom of basic truth within it. The wearer must learn to attune to the stone instead of the stone attuning to the wearer.
Turquoise is the symbol of friendship.
Finding your Animal Totem is a Spiritual Journey.
The animal you feel most attracted to or kinship with is probably your main animal’s energy that will be with you all your life. Other animal spirits will come and go depending upon your needs at the time.
Each day upon rising, step into nature, physically or mentally. The first animal you see or feel, become it. Take on its characteristics and allow it to become part of you. In this way, a deeper insight about yourself is gained as you feel the animal's spirit awakening inside you.
The direction your animal totem is facing when you see it in your dreams or in real life also has meaning.
Facing North means you need to learn lessons of using your potential. Your element is the earth, which is symbolic of wisdom, patience, prosperity and grounding aspects of mind, body and spirit. What you gain in knowledge and teachings will be used later. Listen to your intuitions and trust that your inner pathway will be revealed to you at the right time.
Facing East is learning the lessons of responsible relationships. Your element is air, which links heaven and earth allowing you to walk between the spiritual and the physical using dreams and visions. Be open to any revelations you get for they will give you guidance to grow spiritually within and without.
Facing West is the lesson of adaptability. Water is your element, which always takes the path of less resistance. This allows you to adapt according to the needs in all areas of your life. To do this requires a shift in consciousness to be able to flow like water over given circumstances.
Facing South are the lessons of life, death and rebirth. Fire is your element and it rules the heart, passions and love that help to regenerate lives. Change must be met with strength and endurance knowing you will awaken anew, fresh and purified. All of life is a cycle, there are many transition periods we must go through. During these times, we learn, grow and expand our self-awareness.
2009 REPTILE RESCUE ANGELS 53
This is where I usually add a rescue picture so you can see what your purchases have helped to rescue, support and will continue to help.
This is one of those unbelievable stories I’d like to say is a first...but it isn’t. These two, John and Christina, are our “2009 Reptile Rescue Angels.
In early July ona 95+ degree day, they went to throw out trash and what a shock. In the trash was a “LIVE” baby python sitting in a broken aquarium. Can’t even imagine the callousness of people with this little regard for life.
Bless their hearts, even though not being snake lovers, they just
couldn't leave it to die so horribly.
As you would think they called the police, animal agencies all to no avail. Therefore looking for rescues on the Internet we obviously came up. We were out of town at the time but they kept it till we could get there.
When we were able to get there and had time to talk, it was obvious John and Christina were quite disappointed in lack of help by ANIMAL agencies. Said they felt had it been a dog or cat the owners abandoned in the dumpster they would have been hunted down...like they should have been!!!
It’s a shame this kind of blatant animal abuse is tolerated in animals that are traditionally not considered "cute and cuddly".
