This is a science fair or classroom project for experimenting with bacteria culture using petri dishes and nutrient agar.  The kit was developed by PhD research scientists.  It is one of the most popular kits sold in our science store!

 

You can grow different types of household bacteria and mold, compare the bacteria growth rates  under different conditions, test the effectiveness of different brands of disinfectants or antiseptics, etc., etc..

 

Many middle and high school students have used our kits to do laudable projects and achieving excellent grades.  Some have gone on to win state level competitions.

 

The kit contains 6 petri dishes, nutrient agar powder, 6 sterile cotton swabs, 6 round absorbent disks, plastic dropper, plastic cup, blank microscope slide, thermometer, and instruction booklet.   There is enough agar medium for the 6 petri dishes.  You just need to distribute evenly among them, and not pour too much into the first few dishes.  A thin layer will do.  Each dish comes with its own cover lid.

 

This kit is recommended for ages 10 and up, with adult supervision only.  This kit is for science project only.  NOT a toy kit!
