Vintage 1960's Omega Solid 14K Seamaster Mens Watch

Beginning with its founding in 1848 by Louis Brandt, Omega has reigned as the symbol of Swiss watchmaking, attaining the highest of awards. Omega won an incredible 93 precision contests. 72 of these were world records including the 1936 all-category record at Kew-Teddington with 97.8 points out of 100, a score that's never been matched. Today Omega continues the tradition of manufacturing extremely accurate, well designed watches which has confirmed them as one of the most popular of luxury Swiss watch brands. Due to its unique tradition and quality, Omega watches have been presented as gifts by the Swiss government to various heads of state including François Mitterrand and Ronald Reagan. Omega watches have also graced their presence during the Olympic games, NASA space missions and even with Jacques Cousteau to depths of 400 meters. This SeaMaster is one of the finest Omega ever produced- It's solid gold and many of its internal parts are either solid gold (main flywheel) or rose-gold platd. The 550 movement is one of Omega's finest movements which like the 505 was used in Constellations prior to this time, but with a slightly altered name.  It's virtually trouble-free, as long as it's serviced once every 3 years or so. While we're on the subject- this and all my Omegas have recently been gone-over and serviced when and where necessary by a qualified Omega repair person, unless mentioned otherwise. So, you won't have to worry for another 3 years unless noted in the description. Vintage Omega watches are a also a great hedge against inflation. They have risen at a rate of at least 30% over the last 5 years. And that's a conservative estimate. Why don't you buy one or two and see for yourself? And, this one would be a terrific example with which to begin if you haven't already.
