Rare Vintage Performo Toy Co. Weiner Pup 1927 original

   The Performo Toy Company is best known as the originator of  MICKY, the simple toy character that was a culmination of sorts, to an imaginative line of toys that all had
character and optimistic flair brilliantly conceived and produced by Rene Grove in Middletown, Pennsylvania and patented by Performo on August 26, 1926. 
Grove and his partner Torrance Dietz seem to have been a real success and distributed thousands of toys - but where are those toys today?  It seems noone has any evidence
of any legal proceedings, disputes or settlements between Performo, the holder of United States patent of the black and white sharp-nosed mouse toy named MICKY and
Walter E. Disney, the high powered cartoonist, Hollywood filmaker and father of Mickey Mouse, and therein lies the mystery. No records, so very few toys...
 Toys from this company are for some reason exceedingly rare, and this company was not to be found in Collectible and Antique Catalogs until the 90's as far as I can see
- there are just not that many surviving examples of Performo Toys. This is WEINER PUP in phenomenal lightly played with condition. Original paint - all original.
Guaranteed to be produced before 1930. I would be surprised if you would ever be able to find this toy, in this condition for this price again.  Super Rare.
