Report itemUp for auction is a what appears to be a TINTYPE photo of a very nicely dressed lady wearing dark lace-like gloves with the fingers not covered. Typically, she is not smiling, This picture is in fair condition, and the case is complete. I have tried to show the condition of the case & picture in the photos. There are no hinges, it is held together by the very thin paper or leather covering. Clasp works well. Opposite of the picture is a red velvet-like floral arrangement. It looks very nice. I am not an expert. I have described to the best of my ability. I will try to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for shopping!

A very helpful E-Bay Member has given me the following information in red: Not a tintype (iron plate), this is a daguerreotype (silvered copper plate), circa 1855. This picture is in fair condition, and the case is complete. I have tried to show the condition of the case & picture in the photos. There are no hinges, it is held together by the very thin paper or leather covering. Clasp works well. Opposite of the picture is a red velvet-like floral arrangement. It looks very nice.
