Movie description
Bean is Richard Sharpe, a maverick British office deep behind French lines in the battle against Napoleon's conquests. When Sharpe becomes a pawn at the hands of Major Pierre Ducos, a French spy, he must cross enemy lines to find the one person who can clear his name. Movie Plot
Based on Bernard Cornwell's best-selling novel, Sean Bean returns as maverick British officer Richard Sharpe. He and his men operate behind French lines, risking their lives to undermine Napoleon's forces.

Officer Sharpe unwittingly becomes a pawn in a plot of Major Pierre Ducos, a French spy. He is falsely accused of dishonouring the wife of a Spanish Marques. When the Marques him to a duel, which is forbidden by Wellington, Sharpe accepts.

The Marques is later murdered in his sleep. Sharpe is arrested and faces a Court Martial.

Will Ducos succeed in discrediting the British army and damaging their alliance with Spain? Will Major Sharpe escape a death sentence, find the Marquesa and foil the French conspiracy?

Fast-moving, hard-hitting action filmed on location in the Crimea, Portugal and Englund, the series brings to the screen all the danger, romance and sheer spectacle of one of the bloodiest periods in English warfare.
