Hardcover book, "Tyler, Texas: C. S. A." by William A. Albaugh; Broadfoot Publishers; Wilmington, NC: 1993, reprint of the 1958 edition; approximately 6"X9", 235 pages.

Story of the Confederate Ordinance Works at Tyler, Texas from 1861-1865. Taken from the original manuscripts of the CSA. Largely extracted from official correspondence, the book gives details of production weapons, belt plates and other items. The "Day Book" of the ordnance plant was uncovered in its original manuscript form. It gave a graphic day-by-day account of the activities at the plant. This is the story of the Confederate States Ordnance west of the Mississippi and tells how desperate men took antiquated gun barrels and, substituting ingenuity for machinery, fashioned some odd 3,000 rifles and muskets to arm the all too thin Gray Line of the Confederate army
