Movie description
Meeting after a 38-year period of separation, Lionel Hardcastle (Geoffrey Palmer) and Jean Pargeter (Judi Dench) enjoy rekindling their relationship in this affectionate BBC comedy. The couple took a promising stab at romance in 1953, until Lionel was swept away to Korea to assume military duties during the Second World War. As they coincidentally reconvene after Lionel unwittingly hires Jean's daughter to work for him, much laughter ensues in this family-oriented jaunt through their blossoming relationship. Seasons eight and nine are contained on this release.

Movie Plot
Once upon a time, a dashing young British Army officer and a lovely student nurse fell deeply, magically in love. Then he was shipped off to Korea and they never heard from one another. Forty years later, fate brings them together again ... with hilarious results.

Series 8
In the eighth season of six episodes, Judith and Sandy try swapping boyfriends, while Lionel attracts the attention of a dog. Concerned about his lack of pension, Lionel considers selling the country home. And Jean's attempts to add a bathroom to the house and to get on the Internet create more hysterical mayhem.

Series 9
In the final season of four episodes, Alistair and Judith prepare for their wedding. Harry gets an offer to start a new life in Canada. But will Sandy be a part of it? As the younger generation starts to move on, the house begins to fell empty for Jean and Lionel. But a mystery woman on their doorstep and a surprise reappearance ensure things won't be dull for long.
