This listing is for a vintage BATTERY OPERATED ANDY GARD COMBAT KNIGHT No.143 w/box as shown. It is in good working order. Moves forward and backward and steering does turn left and right. Condition is fair-average. There is some old glue residue from the factory that has discolored with age. The remote is intact although it is a bit warped. Both the toy and remote are primarily made of plastic. It is complete with the exception that there should be 3 red rings and there is only one. Approx 10 inches tall. This toy is listed in Don
Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002,
second edition. It is listed on page 17. It is a 1950's era toy made by
the General Molds and Plastic Corp. It has a rarity of 6 on a scale to 10
being the rarest, and a value of $170.00 in C-10 condition without the box. The box is in average condition. An interesting toy seldom seen for your collection. Other 50's &
