LEICA SUMMILUX 50MM 1.4  Version II in Mint condition. Serial number: 3416018.

The pre-ASPH (#11114) 50mm ƒ1.4 Summilux M has an optical design which dates from the late 1960s. It takes 43mm filters, weighs 360g. and focuses to 1m. One of the best 50mm lens made by Leica. It is more compact than Pre-ASPH E46 version or current ASPH version ($3600 new!).

I bought it from a collector, it was barely used and in mint condition. The barrel uses no sign of use. Both elements are pristine, inside is clean and free of mode or dirt. Focus correctly and smoothly. Blades are clean as new.

There is only one cosmetic defect, which is a tiny hairline scratch (1mm long) on the edge of rear element. Looks like a dirt particle. It is minor, but it is something.

This is the best leica lens I ever have. I barely used it, so let it go.

E43 leitz filter (as new), E43 filter is the only filter can fit the 12586 hood on this lens, others are too thick. The filter itself is hard to find.

In case of the scratch on rear element, it will be nothing if you do not mind a particle on lens element.

As a 30 years old lens, it is in beautiful condition. I will rate it in like new condition if not for the scratch.

A: I set it at $850, which I think it's a fair reserve price. A 12586 hood as new as this one will go for $100 by itself. The E43 filer like new will cost around $50. Thanks!
