 Circus magazine was a (mostly) monthly American magazine, published from 1966 to 2006.  Some of the biggest names in rock journalism passed through its pages including Kurt Loder, Lester Bangs, Dave Marsh, David Fricke and Paul Nelson.  It’s sales surpassed Creem and rivaled Rolling Stone in its heyday.  It was published for its entire run by Gerald Rothberg (who also served as the editor-in-chief), first under the name Hullabaloo which was changed to Circus in 1968.

At its best, Circus was an intelligent magazine covering a broad base of the music industry.  It had its share of artists that it “broke” to a national audience and its photography was as good as any magazine of its type.  As a chronicler of the heavy metal revival of the 1980’s and ‘90’s, it is without rival.

Condition:

Picture is scan of actual magazine.  Great condition.  Address label has been left intact for those that like them.  It can easily be removed using lighter fluid (Ronsonol) with no damage to the magazine.  No dog-eared corners or torn pages.

Items designated as having "Free Shipping" will ship via the least expensive shipping method to addresses in the continental US.  For shipping cost to Alaska, Hawaii, and non-US destinations, please inquire as to the cost prior to bidding or buying.
