…… Bound in velvet this rare American Edition of “Prayers of Israel” is written in both Hebrew and English. IT was published & printed in 1863 by L. H. Frank, New York. This book measures 4 ½” by 7 ½” by just over 1” thick. My close up photographs show brass corners which depict American shields. One of the 8 corners is missing. All the pages and the binding is still strong however there are some short splits in the velvet material, on the edge of the binding. … I am listing this American Civil War Period Jewish Prayer book without any reserve.
