Description

This auction is for a vintage gold mohair throw pillow with blue and green tassel fringe. The pillow itself is in excellent condition. The fringe is missing a few tassels. You could easily place the pillow on a sofa or chair without the missing tassels being apparent. There is no zipper on this pillow to remove the pillow insert; it is sewn together. Also, I did notice that 2 sides of the pillow have pulled apart a tiny bit showing the thread that is holding the sides together. This should be a very easy repair but I will leave that up to you. This was in my mother-in-law's Park Ave. apt. and as she was also an interior designer, I am sure she had these professionally made by an upholstery workroom. Size: 17" x 17". I think there are 2 sides where the tassels are in perfect shape, and 2 sides (that intersect) that are less than perfect...one is missing a tassel and the other has all of the tassels but some of the threads are missing (you can supersize the photos and see what I am referring to). Because of this, you could easily place the pillow in one corner of a sofa and it would never show....it would also be fine in a club chair. Even though there is some damage to the tassel fringe, the remaining fringe is completely intact (other than what I mentioned) meaning that it is not unraveling/will not continue to come apart. I did not see any spots or damage to the mohair, which is very thick and has a very nice hand. She loved Brunschwig and Fils and Clarence House the best, so it is likely one of these brands (all of her other pillows, draperies, tablecloths, upholstery were always one or the other). This is probably from the late 80's or early 90's. Shipping

I ship via USPS Priority Mail and insure all of my items; the insurance cost is reflected in shipping and handling cost. If you are not in a hurry and want to save some money on shipping (especially for heavy items), I can ship 1st class mail or however you like. I can ship via UPS or FedEx if you prefer. I try to quote exact shipping costs but with large, heavy items that are not yet packed, it can be difficult to estimate. I only charge actual shipping cost and if you are concerned about the shipping cost, email me your zip code or country & I will try to get an exact number before auction ends. I try to calculate shipping costs carefully but occasionally make a mistake, international rates can be tricky. If I miscalculate and you owe more for shipping than I quoted, and that you already paid, I will let you know and you can choose not to go through with the purchase with no penalty. I try to get items out as quickly as possible but sometimes I am in the city and the item sold is in the country or vice versa. Please let me know if you are in a rush and I will do my best to get your item out to you asap.

Terms of Sale

Payment is expected within 3 days of close of auction unless other arrangements are made. I insure all items which is reflected in shipping and handling cost. Most of my items are previously owned and have at least some signs of wear/usage. I do my best to depict any issues in my photos and description and examine each item carefully. That being said, if an item is greatly misrepresented in some way, I will accept returns. If I specifically say, "guaranteed authentic or your money back" in the listing description (designer goods, artwork) then I will certainly honor that; but I do not sell anything fake, so would be shocked to find out I had sold anything fake. I want my buyers to be pleased with their purchases and will do my best to ensure a smooth transaction. If payment is not made within 3 days and no contact has been made with winning bidder, I will assume you are a non-paying bidder and report you to eBay.
