ANIMAL HOUSE is the film that launched National Lampoon as a comedy powerhouse. Developed by the editors at the Harvard Lampoon, the film is a collection of true-life experiences and memories with a great deal of embellishment. Nothing is sacred in this film, in which every gesture, phrase, and song became de rigueur in fraternity houses nationwide after its release. Decadence, debauchery, and delinquency prevail at Delta House, the scourge of the fraternity system at Faber College in 1962. In an effort to rid himself of the troublesome brothers, Dean Wormer (John Vernon) hatches a plan in cahoots with the brown-nosing Greg Marmalard (James Daughton) of rival fraternity Omega to have the Deltas kicked off campus. Unfortunately for them, the determination and drive of the Deltas is more than anyone counted on. In their last stand against the uptight dean, the antiheroes of Delta drink, smoke, romp, frolic, and dance--going out with a bang. This outrageous, much-loved comedy classic features the first major film role of the late, great John Belushi as John "Bluto" Blutarsky, the hard-partying, beer-guzzling champion of Delta house.

ANIMAL HOUSE, which was shot in only 35 days on location in Oregon, was allegedly based on the college experiences of National Lampoon writer Chris Miller. This was comedian-actor John Belushi's first starring role in a feature film. He was already well known as one of the Not Ready for Prime-Time Players on TV's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. Director John Landis and Belushi conceived of the part of Bluto--which was written specifically for Belushi--as a combination Harpo Marx and the Cookie Monster. The part of D-Day was written for Dan Aykroyd but he didn't do it, probably because of his commitment to SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. The studio wanted Chevy Chase to be Otter, but Landis thought that Chase was too recognizable a face to pull the character off. The part of the dean had been offered to Jack Webb. The studio insisted that the movie include a movie star, so Landis brought in Donald Sutherland to do two days' shooting. Landis played a cafeteria worker in a constant battle with Bluto, but all of his scenes ended up on the cutting-room floor. The film helped launch the careers of director Landis, screenwriter Harold Ramis, and producer Ivan Reitman, as well as its cast of relative newcomers, including Belushi, Tim Matheson, Tom Hulce, Karen Allen, Kevin Bacon, Stephen Furst, and Peter Riegert. ABC aired a short-lived television series in the spring of 1979 based on ANIMAL HOUSE, entitled DELTA HOUSE. The series was produced by the team responsible for the movie. Reprising their film roles were John Vernon, Stephen Furst, Bruce McGill, and James Widdoes, with the other parts recast. A new female character, the Bombshell, was played by then-unknown Michelle Pfeiffer. Also looking to capitalize on ANIMAL HOUSE mania, NBC and CBS each produced their own ripoffs, BROTHERS AND SISTERS and CO-ED FEVER. The bass player in the fictional band, Otis Day and the Knights, is then unknown blues musician Robert Cray. Cray was instrumental in getting the musicians together for the filming. We DO NOT go by Ebay's Grading Scale. We grade our DVD's by the condition of the DVD only. NOT the case. Please read notation below.

LIKE NEW = Disc has no scuffs or scratches. Plays perfectly.
VERY GOOD = Light - Medium scratches or scuffs that do not affect playability.
GOOD = Medium - Heavy scratches mark or scuffs but they do not affect playability.
ACCEPTABLE = We rarely list acceptable condition dvd's and when we do we may have taken in to account the case as well. If the case and the DVD are damaged (scratches, shelf wear, stickers, tears etc..) but dvd still plays good (possible skips) and may need to be resurfaced, it will be placed here. Sold AS IS and not accepted for returns.
MINT = Light/No shelf wear on case. Case shows high gloss finish. DVD is perfect condition and insert and or sleeve (if applicable) must be included for us to rate it MINT. Little/No Imperfections.

Shipping Details: For US residents all single Disc purchases - 4 ounces and under - are sent via First Class Mail by USPS. First Class usually takes 2-5 days. Packages over 4 ounces is sent via Media Mail by USPS. Media Mail usually takes 2-9 days. This is just an estimate and we cannot control or be responsible for USPS transit times.

For International Residents all packages under 4 lbs. will be sent via First Class. All packages over 4 lbs. will be sent Priority. Buyers are responsible for any customs charges, taxes, duties etc.. as stated in Ebay's Policy.

Our Shipping and Handling charges are non-negotiable. We charge for shipping and handling in our rates. Answer: Your DVD will be packaged in a secure and safe bubble mailer. Multiples over a certain amount in safe and secure box! We package our DVD's so they arrive safely.

Question: Can I purchase Delivery Confirmation?
Answer: Sure, but you don't have to because we do it for you! If your a US resident with a confirmed address we include it FREE of charge. We cannot add tracking for International residents at this time due to the expense.

Question: How long will it take for you to process my package?
Answer: We ship daily but processing can take anywhere from 1-2 days. We try and have all DVD's out next day and hand deliver each package to the post office. We ship 5 days a week. Monday through Friday.

Question: Can you give me my tracking number?
Answer: Ebay has gotten pretty cool lately. It is now automatically uploaded onto your "Won" page and will sit directly under the item and on that page (right under the sale date). If you need help finding it let us know. We'd be happy to help!

Question: My package is lost, what do I do?
Answer: Contact us! If your a US resident we will check the tracking number to try and locate your package. We do not insure packages under $50. We provide tracking numbers for US residents free of charge. If your order is $50 or more we will add in insurance FREE of charge.

We do not offer tracking at our expense for International Shipments! International Residents are advised to pay to register/insure/add tracking to their package and this is only available for Priority which is only available for shipments over 4 lbs. This will come at a large cost but it's the Buyers discretion and at the Buyer's expense. If you do not we are released from any fault if your package is lost or stolen and you forfeit your right to any PayPal dispute if insurance in not purchased. By Bidding you agree to these terms.

Question: I am not happy with my purchase, Can I make a return?
Answer: Customer Satisfaction is very important to us so Returns are Accepted! We will accept a return for a full refund (minus shipping costs) only if your DVD is defective (does not play) or the item is misrepresented (incorrect condition placement). We will not return for case issues or concerns over a DVD being a previous rental. We will not accept returns on Brand New DVD's or due to Buyers remorse. If you did not read the auction and condition and are unhappy, do not ask us to make it right. It's your responsibility to read the auction details.
