Vintage SPIKED RADIANT STAR Xmas LIGHTS BULBS 1955 ~ C7

Here are a total of 8 working Starlights bulbs, 3 non-working bulbs & 3 light covers.  Auction is for bulbs only not light cords.  All are blown glass covers attached to C7 bulbs made by the Radiant Glass Fibers Co. in 1955.  Since they are blown glass each one is a little different.  They measure from 2 1/2"T x 2 3/4" to 3 1/4"W.  Of the 8 working bulbs 3 have no chips, 5 have chips, 2 are very bright, 6 not as bright.  Since they are all different the chips won't really stand out when on the tree.  The 3 that don't work have no chips.  The 3 covers have chips on 2.  Total covers is 14.  It appears that these covers were glued over bulbs since some covers seem like there is a residue of glue inside.  I gently jiggled a non-working one & was able to remove the cover.  Some were not so easy.  If you are knowledgeable about bulbs you may be able to use a heat resistant glue to attach to new bulbs as needed(check with hobby shop).  I photographed the shape of the bulb used for these which are all marked on silver base USA.  These bulbs have a great look & could be mixed with other bulbs on your tree or on a candelabra for a great effect!
