We purchased this bedroom set back in 1995 for our two daughters who were sharing a room at the time.  We paid $2,800 from a furniture wholesaler.  Since it was for two, we needed the large amount of storage that came with the two dressers plus the tall chest.   Only one of my daughters has been using it (less one of the dressers) for the last five years.  It was originally set up like the pictured graphic, with the corner unit in a corner of the bedroom.  This clever piece makes for a nice space saving, wrap around design with the two 30" tall dressers or even the desk on either side.  All of the pieces are decorated with a flower and ribbon design.  The hutch has a light for the desk.  The memo board that was added is included, but could also be removed.  Don't let the low opening bid fool you.  This set is in very good condition.  My teenage daughter is now also ready for a new modern set, so we need to make space.  There are only a few issues.  Some of the knobs have come loose.  I have replaced the screws on a few over the years as they have stripped out on the wood inside the knob.  There are currently a few more that need to be addressed.  Also, one of the drawers on the chest is a little hard to slide.  This is because the plastic piece that goes in the slide is broken.  It needs to be either glued or replaced.  All the other drawers seem to move fine, but there may be other broken pieces which should be available from Stanley.  The seat on the desk chair has been recovered to match the current decor.  It could use a good cleaning.  The set includes the two headboards only.  The bed frame, box spring, and mattress are not included.  If you do not need or have room for the entire set, you should still bid on this auction, but then you can just take the pieces you want and leave the rest.
