 THIS IS A RARE 1864 COPPER TWO CENT COIN.  THE TWO CENT PIECE IS ONE OF THE SHORTEST LIVED UNITED STATES COINS  THE WORDS IN GOD WE TRUST APPEARED FOR THE FIRST TIME ON THIS NEW COIN, DUE LARGELY TO INCREASED RELIGIOUS SENTIMENT DURING THE WW11 CRISIS. THE SHIELD IS SIMILAR TO THAT ON THE NICKEL FIVE CENT PIECE INTRODUCED IN 1866.  THIS COIN IS IN GOOD - FINE CONDITION.  THE LETTERS EXCEPT FOR "WE" IS CLEAR ON THE OBVERSE SIDE.  ON THE REVERSE SIDE THE LETTERING IS SHARP.  THE SHIELD IS SHARP AND THE WHEAT IS SHARP.  I START MY COINS AT LOWER THAN BOOK PRICES. THE COINS ARE FROM AN ESTATE OF LONG TIME COIN COLLECTORS.
