1918 BROOKLYN CENTRAL HARBOR TUG BOAT SHIP MODEL

 

NEW in box. 100% wood, hand made and painted model of the steam powered 1918 New-York central railroad harbor tug boat. The Brooklyn was one of many railroad tugs, designed to transfer railroad cars from one side of New York to the other on barges known as car floats.  Railroad tugs almost always towed barges alongside, with one railroad car floating on each side, hence the heavy guards. 

 

 

OUR MODEL:

We used actual little rubber tires and a plank on frame structure.  A lacquer finish and lots of details on this boat gives this item a radiant polish and real look. A very nice model boat, not from a kit! Size: Length 17" X Height 6".  The hull is made from Bass wood Plank-On-Frame construction.  Detailed deck comes with all the details you would expect to see on a replica of a steam powered 1918 Brooklyn Central Harbor Tug Boat.  We have developed a great feedback record by always selling new in boat items in perfect condition.  THIS IS NOT FROM A MODEL KIT!  IT WILL NOT DISSAPOINT!  100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE!
