For auction is a UNIQUE CLOTH CLOWN, LARGE IN SIZE and UNUSUAL CONSTRUCTION.

I have no idea as to the age of this clown but it is unique.  It measures apx. 36" long and wears a stuffed striped cloth hat and a striped cloth costume with ruffles surrounding the neck, wrists and ankles.  The only part of this clown that is stuffed is the hat and hands.  The face is a styrofoam ball covered with  fabric and has pieces of felt for the nose, eyebrows  and mouth. 

 From the neck down to the waist inside is a piece of wood shaped like a bookend that enables it to sit anywhere.  Inside each wrist is a little block of wood that enables them to be positioned easily.  Each ankle also has a block of wood inside.  You cannot see this wood because it is covered with the delightful striped fabric.  The loose construction of the body fabric and the blocks of wood inside make it easy to  position this delightful clown in many positions.

The hands are constructed of felt and stuffed and the feet are made of very heavy cardboard covered with felt.  This clown does not have any tags and with such an unusual construction it may be a handcrafted item.  It is in excellent condition, no rips or tears and very clean.
