2~ MINIATURE FRENCH BARBOLA~ WOOD~GESSO PORTRAIT FRAMES

This listing is for a very old pair of Miniature Barbola Framed Portraits.  These frames are gorgeous! The tops are adorned with Swags of Roses,  Ribbons.  These are deeply sculpted for their small size.  They are in very nice Antique condition.  The gesso has stress cracks from drying out,  this is common with this type of frame, and consistent with age.  There is nothing loose or missing on these frames.  I am not sure what material the portraits are on,  there is no glass.  The portraits themselves have hairline spider crazing all over,  I have tried to capture this in my pictures, So please look.  In my opinion only adds to the antique ambiance,  but some may consider it a flaw, so thought I would mention it. The portrait with the lady with the hat has a spot, stain on the right side as you are looking at it.  I have marked it with a arrow.

These frames measure 5.75" tall by 4.5" wide.   The oval for the portrait is 4.25" by 3.25".  They have their original black paper backs,  one still retains the original tag.  Tag reads E.J.S MFG CO.  No. 2385 Title MDE. Victoire,  the other is missing its label.  They both have the original hanging loop.  Would be great displayed on small easels.  These weigh about  8 oz. unwrapped.

PLEASE NOTE:   I am sorry to have to do this,  but due to the changes ebay has made with the shipping insurance,  I am forced to make changes as well.  Up until now, I have not charge for handling or packing materials,  I do not add anything to cover ebays listing or final value fees.  I didn't want to pass  the increases on to my customers.

  I am afraid I cannot also absorb the cost of insurance, and continue to sell on ebay.  So I will be adding a handling fee to my auctions.  This handling fee will be  included in the quoted shipping.  Depending on the selling price,  a partial refund may be issued.    I am really sorry to have to do this,  but the focus on protection is for buyers,  and even honest sellers have to protect themselves. 

If more than one item is bought, and shipping is combined , the handling cost will be only enough to offset actual insurance costs,  which is included.   I never charge extra.   Please inform me that you are done bidding,  and I will carefully pack your items, and give you a exact shipping invoice.
