You are bidding on Yes I Can - The Story of Sammy Davis, Jr. by Sammy Davis, Jr. with Jane and Burt Boyar and published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux 1965. This is Sammy looking back at his life and experiences he went through. The book has three different sections of B/W photos of Sammy over the years from childhood on up including pictures with Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Ed Sullivan, the Bogarts, Martin Luther King and many more. This book's binding is tight both covers and pages. An owner underlined some text and made pencil brackets in the margins on pages 288 and 289 where Sammy was talking with a Rabbi. An owner also underlined a two sentences on page 470 but that's all the writing I could find. Otherwise clean and pages look very good. The cover is black with silver writing and is in good but worn condition. The side spine though is slightly torn at the top as you can see in the pictures. If you have any questions or would like to see more pics, email me. Thank you and if you win any bids for my other books, I will combine shipping to save you shipping costs.
