You are invited to bid on this solid brass Braine-type steering quadrant that is suitable for model yachts and pond sailboats with hulls in the 36" to 72" range. This is our model #511-3 which measures approximately 3" X 3.150". This fitting, our model #511-3 and the slightly smaller #511-2 version, feature a roller for an elastic centering line and are made with all new CNC tooling. They ave been very well received by customers around the world. All our units are crafted from solid brass with a standard bushing bored for a 3/16 inch rudder shaft (common on Marblehead class boats) and are threaded for a set screw or through screw. Each quadrant includes a stainless steel socket head set screw, Allen wrench, 4 phosphor bronze sheet hooks, and basic installation instructions. Quadrants for rudder shafts from 1/8" to 5/16" are available on special order. Our catalog offers elastic centering line, a line anchor fitting, and an adjustable tackle kit to complete your Braine steering system - or we will be glad to send instructions to help you create your own centering tackle.
