This pump has a CFM Displacement of 44 and a Free Air of 35 CFM @ 175 PSI and 39 CFM @ 100 PSI. This pump Model EC-15T offers the biggest pistons and cylinder stroke of any compressor on the market. Look at the name brand compressors – they offer a pump speed of around 1060 RPM and put out around 35 CFM @ 175 PSI. If you have heard the saying “bigger is better”, this is the same in compressors…bigger is most definitely better. The way to tell the difference in our unit and our competitor's, take their pump RPM and divide it into the CFM. This will tell you the CFM per every revolution it turns.For example, our competitor's pump runs 1060 RPM. If you divide 1060 into 35 CFM, you will get 0.0330 CFM per every pump revolution. If you take our unit and divide 640 RPM into 35 CFM, it will give you 0.054 CFM per every pump revolution. If you slow our competitors pump down to the speed of our unit (RPM for RPM), you will see their pump does not even equal the CFM of our 7.5 HP unit. This means you are getting a little pump and less for your money. The Eaton pump turns at a low speed of 640 RPM’s and puts out the same CFM of our name-brand competitors but only at 420 RPM’s slower speed. This is INCREDIBLE because our pump is so much larger. What are the benefits of a larger pump for you as the consumer? Slow speed will give you SUPER quiet operation on your compressor. This pump is so quiet, you can stand 3 feet from it and talk on the telephone. Low RPM benefits are long pump life up to 5 times longer intake and exhaust valve life than our competitors. Low RPM benefits are also about 200 degrees cooler air temperature than the high RPM machines. You will see many of the high RPM machines that offer a belt guard after cooler that is connected to the belt guard. This is not good because you are using the air that cools the pump to suck air through the after cooler which the high heat that comes off of the after cooler is blowed across the compressor to cool it. This means you are trying to cool the compressor with hot air which means your pump life will diminish. If you look at our pump, you will see that we have solid steel connecting rods—NOT ALUMINUM like 95% of the competition. Our connecting rods are also rebuildable just like your car engine. Not throw away like 95% of the competition. Our valves are all disk valve design. Disk valves have been around for 150 years. You will see that the competition are cheapening their valves down to a reed valve style. There is a BIG difference in the two valves. Our valves can also be removed through the cylinder heads. If you look at the pictures, you will see that there is 4 bolts that will be removed and you can pull the valve retainer out that is sealed by an O-Ring. This is nice because you can remove your valves without removing any head gaskets. USER FRIENDLY!!! This pump also has large roller bearings that go on each end of the crankshaft. These large bearings give your crankshaft a solid stable rotation- - smooth running. This pump also has 3-belt design which gives you much longer belt life and better belt gripage. Most units you will see only have a 2-belt design. This pump has a 22” fan bolted to the flywheel. This blows a large amount of air over the pump to cool it efficiently. This pump has intercooler lines built in between the stages. This pump has ALL CAST IRON CYLINDERS, CRANKCASE, CRANKSHAFT, FLYWHEEL, CONNECTING RODS, AND CYLINDER HEADS. You will see many compressors that use aluminum cylinder heads. This is not good even though aluminum will cool fast, it will warp under extreme temperatures like on the high RPM machines that you see today. This causes head gasket problems constantly.
Our motor is one of the heaviest on the market. This motor is Single Phase 208/230V. The amp draw on this motor on 230V (Full Load Amps – FLA) is 40. Always go 20% over the full load amps for your breaker size. It is all cast iron frame – a very rigid and tough construction. This motor is also TEFC (totally enclosed external fan cooled). This motor is the best you can buy. It is not ODP which means Open Drip Proof. The difference between the 2 motors is that Open Drip Proof actually cools by drawing air through the motor to cool the windings. This works ok until you get into dusty conditions such as body shops, wood shops, cabinet shops, and granite shops, etc. A TEFC motor can be blowed off with an air hose on the external part of the motor keeping any dirt or water from getting internally into the motor. If you price a TEFC motor, you will see they are a higher cost motor. This motor is all copper windings, NOT aluminum windings, copper coated. Copper windings will stand up under the most extreme conditions and still hold up as long as it is cooled properly. This motor has tough ball bearings that will last for many years to come. Our motors are all UL, CE, and CSA Compliant. Our motors also have a TRUE HP rating instead of a Peak HP. Peak HP is a good way of getting ripped off thinking you are getting more HP than you really are. Not with Eaton products! You get a TRUE HP rating. This motor has a 1 3/8” output shaft which means that you will have a strong armature that will not break of fatigue under heavy start-ups. Last but not least…our motor has 1750 RPM not 3450 RPM. 3450 RPM motors have a low starting torque. Many of the competition are using them because of the cheaper motor cost and the pulley on the motor only has to be half the size of a 1750 RPM motor which saves them money and cheapens the unit down.
Our tank is an ASME-code 120-Gallon Tank. 200 PSI Working Pressure. ASME code is required in California and many other states or you cannot use the unit if it is 12-gallons or larger. You will see many of the foreign units with thin air tank sidewalls that are all made overseas that the ASME code is not on the tank. DO NOT buy it or you will be at risk of not using it in your business and an ASME code is safer from any tank rupture because of the stringent requirements. The way to identify ASME Code is you will see a metal tag welded on the tank that says “Certified By ?”. Then it will also have the National Board Number. This tank is the only tank that will have that certification number.
Our Magnetic Starters all have UL, CSA, and CE Approval and our Magnetic Starter Boxes are NEMA Code. You will also see that our motor can be tightened by a belt tentionerunder the motor. With a 3-Belt design, it is hard to get your belts tight with a pry bar and you will be extremely angry when you have to tighten your motor this way. We use a 215-T Single Bolt Belt Tentioner under the motor. To tighten your belts, you will have to loosen the 4 bolts that hold the motor down by 1 turn and take a 15/16” wrench and turn the bolts on the end of the motor and it will tighten your belts easily and quickly – USER FRIENDLY!!
This unit also has dual control. This is a nice option because under heavy work loads, you will use less electric by leaving the unit run on a continuous run mode. A big motor such as this starting and stopping multiple times in 1 hour will cause extra wear on your magnetic contacts because every time it starts and stops, you are sparking your contactor contacts. The way this works is there are head unloaders in the cylinder heads and when you need continuous run mode, you walk over to the compressor and turn it on continuous run mode and the unit will come up when it gets to pressure and go into a free wheel mode which means the intake valves are being pushed open by little air cylinders in the cylinder heads. This will hold the intake valves open which means the cylinder is still pulling air through the intake filter and into the cylinder, but on the compression stroke, the air will be pushed back out the intake valve because the valve is held opened. This serves 2 purposes. By air being pulled in and out of the pump, it cools the pump out internally by the cool air that is pulled in is heated up from the heat in the pump and blowed back out as hot air. The other benefit is that it will save you electricity because when a motor starts, it takes as much as triple the full load amps on the motor tag. This means multiple start ups can cost you much more on your electric bill. This unit can also be ran Automatic Start/Stop. Automatic Start/Stop is when you are using your unit under normal work loads – your unit will starts and stop like any other compressor. Under our pump you will see a raised mounted platform. This allows air to flow under the crankcase from the flywheel fan to cool your oil better. The oil not only helps to lubricate your pump internally, but it helps to cool the pump as well internally. So if your pump is a high RPM unit that runs SUPER hot, this means your pump is being lubricated with SUPER hot oil and the oil cannot help to cool the pump because it is SUPER hot as well.
This unit also has a Dual Timer, 110V, Electronic Auto Drain. This is very nice. This will drain your air tank of any moisture or any condensation. By keeping the water out of the air tank, it will cut down on the water coming out of your air line. It is hard to drain your tank every 5-10 minutes because you get busy and forget to or don’t have time. This will eliminate this problem. It also has a strainer built into this drain. It will strain any dirt, rust, or contaminants that build up in your tank over the years from getting into your timer solenoid valve which would cause it leak if you do not have this on the unit. This filter can be cleaned with soap and water and reused for many years to come. This drain has 2 cycle times. The first is it has a range from ½ minute to 45 minutes and anywhere in between. The second is how long the drain stays opened. This range is from ½ second to 10 seconds. For example, you can set your drain to drain every 10 minutes for a 1 second drain opened time. This repeat this cycle for weeks, months, and years depending on your compressor usage.

This is our Eaton High Temperature Dry Air Model 56 Dry Air. This unit will dry air coming from a 10-15 HP air compressor. This unit will dry up to 56 CFM with absolute water-free air. This dryer is used in body shops, machine shops, all businesses that need dry air. Water is a bad part of a compressor without a dryer. It will ruin your air tools and air motors on machines or anything that needs dry air. We have many customers that ask us “do you have a compressor with water-free air?” The only way to achieve this is to cool your air down to dew point. For example, humidity is in the air and you cannot see it. It is as a gas form. The only way to remove this water from the air is to cool the air down to dew point. Everybody knows when a low front comes through that it rains. The reason for this is the moisture that is in a gas form is cooled down and this is how you get rain. Another example is your air conditioner in the summer has water dripping off of the condenser. This is the same principle as our air dryer. It is cooling the air through a heat exchanger by circulating refrigerant (R22). After the water is evaporated out of the air, it is collected in an accumulator or water trap. This water trap has a built-in auto drain which drains the accumulated water from the heat exchanger. After your air goes through this process, it gets all of the water out of your air system.
This refrigerated air dryer system is very low maintenance. You just plug it into 110V, Single Phase and connect your air lines from the compressor to the IN marked “air port” and connect your shop air to the OUT marked “air port”. On the IN marked “air port”, I do recommend a coalescer filter system. This will remove all particulate from your air system down to 1 micron. A coalescer filter will also remove any oil that the compressor might use and keep it from getting into your air dryer. An air compressor oil-type will use 1-5 parts per million in oil carry over. It is just like your car motor, it will use “some” oil. The oil that is uses gets into your air lines in a millionth amount, but over a period of time, can plug your dryer up. This filter system will stop that from happening.
We use high quality refrigeration units in our dryers and high quality heat exchangers for maximum durability in industrial applications. This dryer also cycles the fan motor on and off as the air temperature goes up and down. This dryer only pulls 2.66 amps on 110V, Single Phase. It is very energy efficient. This dryer also has a temperature gauge on the outlet air line that tells the air temperature. This dryer has a lighted ON/OFF switch that you can turn your dryer on and off manually at the beginning or end of the day. This dryer has a very high quality auto drain for draining your air dryer. It also has a ball valve to turn the air off to the auto drain when maintenancing it and you do not have to shut your shop down when doing so. You can drain it manually when doing this. This dryer has an easy-access panel on the right side of it as you are facing the front of the dryer. This has 2-hand tightened screws so you can quickly remove it for maintenancing it. This dryer has NO plastic—it is all HEAVY gauge material. This dryer has a 1” inlet port and a 1” outlet port.
The dimensions of this air dryer are 31.5" D x 17 5/8” W x 39 1/4 ” H.You do not need any intercoolers with this dryer. It will handle your air system with great efficiency and QUIET operation.
