ONYX  CHESS  PIECES

 

Clean, elegant designed pieces from Mexico.  The white pieces are a shiny onyx, while the

darker pieces are striations of light and darker brown shades.  Strikingly effective.  The king is

2.625" high and the pawns are 1.625" high.  The knights suggest a design of Mayan influence. 

I have been told by stone experts that the pieces are hand carved but do not know this for certain. 

 

These pieces have never been used and are in the original packing box with a separate compartment for each

piece.  They have been taken out for picture taking only and are in excellent condition.  Pieces only, no board.
