You are bidding on a vintage electric guitar. I don't have a clue what brand it is, Teisco?, Silvertone?, Global?.... If you Guitar Experts know what this is, tell me and I'll post here. Is in fair condition, brightwork shows corrosion, starburst finish shows crazing, missing one string and whammy bar. Is a very light (5.5 lb.) solid body guitar. Has no markings other than " Made in Japan " on back metal plate and "Steel Reinforced Neck" on small plate on upper neck. Appears to be straight and solid with no structural issues. Body has unique shape with concave, not rounded bottom. Not sure if electronics work, I'll try to hook up to amp and test, will try to post results here before auction's end. Buyer to pay actual shipping (7.5 lbs) to your location. Will ship worldwide. Will combine shipping with other auctions. Payment by PayPal, Cashier's Check or Check. Thanks for looking. On Nov-08-09 at 09:16:01 PST, seller added the following information: OK, I think we've got it narrowed down a little as to what it is. Best info's that this is a Heit Deluxe Guitar made in the mid to late 1960's by Teisco in Japan. Still not sure of the specific model # and dates of production. This was a very unique quality model that definitely deserves restoring. On Nov-08-09 at 17:45:31 PST, seller added the following information: The electronics work, hooked it to a Peavey amp and output is good. Volume controls and pick-ups seem to work as they should. Couldn't tell a lot of difference in sound by changing tone, but seems to be working. Is out of tune! Moving cable at jack or moving guitar produces crackling, connection is not real good, probably needs cleaning or tightening. |
