Please always read the description before bidding: I tried to provide precise details concerning both the edition and condition of the CDs but if you need more info or photos, feel free to contact me via ebay. My grading scale goes as follows: [ sealed / mint / near mint / excellent / very good / good / OK ] SEALED means the item is new, in its original shrink wrap and has never been opened (it sounds self-evident but I know some people on ebay who put used CDs in plastic sleeves and call that “sealed”) MINT means CD/artwork is flawless. Item may be new/unplayed but is unsealed. NEAR MINT means CD/artwork has very minor flaws in very limited quantity. Item may also be new/unplayed but is unsealed. With EXCELLENT, VERY GOOD and GOOD, obviously, the number and importance of the flaws (such as scuffs, scratches, surface marks for the CD or tabs marks, dents, creases, traces of humidity for the artwork) increase. OK means the CD has many scuffs/scratches/surface marks but plays perfectly fine and does not skip. Artwork shows wear, lots of creases/fold, strong tabs dents/marks, maybe some water damage but is still very enjoyable. I did not rate the jewel cases except for the slimcases or cases with original stickers on them. Broken cases and trays have been replaced (except if they have some special features), so they will all leave my place in excellent shape. Please keep in mind that despite my careful packaging, the case(s) can be broken during transport. These things just happen. For the bigger flaws (such as water damage, small tear, fold, notch), I will always add specifics to the grading mention. When I add details in the description, I shall use the following terms: Color-faded (artwork): color lost his freshness or slightly whitened due to repeated sunlight exposure. Very common on right spine of back insert. Crease (artwork): small/light ridges, marks left on the paper either by badly adjusted machines in the factory plant or by previous owner when manipulating the booklet. Fold (artwork): artwork has been folded and can show a thin white line (because the paper fibre was broken) or just be curved. Scratch (CD): a score on the surface of the disc, deeper than a scuff OR several parallel scuffs, typically done by the CD player holding or rotating device. Scuff (CD): a score on the surface of the disc, with various outlines and lengths. Deeper than a surface mark. Spot (CD): tiny circular stain on the surface of the disc. Sometimes it is just dirt but most of the time, it is a small flaw/surface mark. Surface mark (CD): very light superficial lines/traces on the surface of the disc. Hardly visible except when light falls almost horizontally on CD surface. Tab indentation (artwork): dents left on the right side of the booklet (sometimes just lightly on the cover) by the 2 tiny circular or rectangular (vertical) tabs that hold the booklet to the plastic case. The most common flaw met on second-hand CDs (though it can also happen to new, unsealed CD when the booklet moves a little!). Tab mark (artwork): semi-circular dent on the upper and/or lower edge(s) of the booklet left by one or several of the 4 (horizontal) tabs that hold the booklet to the plastic case. This typically happens when the booklet is wrongly inserted on top of the tab(s) instead of being inserted below it/them. It can happen at the factory plant and be visible even on sealed CDs. Water damage (artwork): artwork has been wet and shows a/some stain(s) (most of the time visible only on the verso). It is neither torn nor stuck to the plastic case and it is complete, color ink has not been erased nor faded. Wavy (artwork): artwork shows light waves because it was exposed to humidity, sometimes by the label or distributor themselves… No water stains, though. Wear (artwork): very light scuffing of the booklet paper due to dust rubbing against it or due to the repeated sliding in and out and prolonged contact with the plastic case or the plastic tabs of the tray (particularly on the back cover of booklets). Very common on old booklets. Sometimes the edges of the booklet might be a little whitened or color-faded as well. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING! |
