High points in this smoothly produced debut solo effort from the rapper formerly known as Fresh Prince include his occasional moments of tenderness, especially "Just the Two of Us," on which Smith addresses his young son against a sample of Bill Withers's song of the same name: "From the first time the doctor placed you in my arms/I knew I'd meet death 'fore I let you meet harm." Smith reveals another hint of vulnerability on "Forever," when he describes his girlfriend: "She...makes me feel that forever is a possibility."
What distinguishes BIG WILLIE STYLE, though, are the same playful mood and nimble rhymes that characterized Smith's DJ Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince days. He describes his modus operandi on the lyrically dexterous "Yes, Yes Y'all:" "I rip rhymes for the flow of it/you know the show of it/not the Benz 600 four-door of it/I'm-a rhyme regardless of earnin' long as my heart keeps yearnin'/I got's to keep burnin'."

Moved house last week and lost the internet for a couple days so I didn't make my Sunday listing.  To get back on track I'm running this 3 day blowout auction.

 

Buy 3 or more CD's and get a 20% discount off the purchase price.  Plus I will combine shipping and make it simple ... $1.25 each addional CD, US or International.

 

I'm still pulling all jewel cases for international orders unless it is a box set or cardboard case.  This saves a bundle.  Check the shipping costs under the shipping tab ... if there is a higher cost to ship overseas it will be noted.  

 

Please read this whole blurb ... if there are specifics about a CD it will be at the bottom of the post. 

 

Here's how I grade the CD's, and from the feedback it seems to be OK with everybody:

 

If the CD is unblemished and the artwork is intact and unblemished I am listing it in Like New condition.  I am not factoring the jewel cases … figure they’re generic. Also remember my note on shipping to international locations (jewel cases are not shipped).

 

If the CD has any minor blemish it is immediately graded to Very Good.

 

Normal wear tear, meaning light scuffs and scratches down grades it to Good.

 

Acceptable means it still plays … may be missing some artwork … I’ll list any specific problems at the end of this post.
