A traditional styled bed featuring an well accented arch and spindle design. The Windsor offers sleek, clean lines to make itself fit quite nicely into any decor. Constructed of solid hardwood this platform bed also includes a 14 piece hardwood slat kit making it ready to accomodate most mattresses. Queen & King size beds feature a center support rail and center support feet for added stability.

Eco-Friendly Hardwood
At Atlantic Furniture we pride ourselves on using Eco-friendly Hardwood. Otherwise known as the Rubber Tree, using these trees is economical and good for the Earth and here’s why:
After 30 years, a decline in latex production has made only tapping rubber trees for their sap uneconomic. The trees are removed by hand and replaced with new seedlings. In the past, felled rubber trees were either burnt on the spot or used as fuel for locomotive engines, brick firing or latex curing. The wood is now used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, stability, attractive color and acceptance of different finishes. It is also prized as an “environmentally friendly” wood, since it makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing life cycle and are always replaced with new seedlings.
Five Step Finishing Process
Each product in our entire line is finished with a high build, five step finishing process. After a thorough sanding, (1) a wipe on sealer is applied. Once dry, a tinted sealer (2) is applied to even the grain and color of the wood. Next, another round of sanding before the first base color coat is applied (3). More sanding and the second base color coat is applied (4). Finally there is a final sanding and the finish coat is applied (5).
This process produces a long lasting and durable finish that will last for years. Shown to the right is a cutaway of our finishing process that highlights to aforementioned finishing process.
Hook & Pin Rail System
Our innovative hook and pin system creates a strong, long lasting connection between the headboard and footboard. Two metal pins are embedded within the head and footboards at two positions making it easy to switch from upper height to lower height. Set the bed high for use with bed storage drawers or trundle bed or set it low for use with mattress and foundation.
Constructed of solid Eco-Friendly hardwood, our storage and platform beds can stand the test of time. Each headboard and footboard we manufacture has the ability to bolt directly to a metal bed frame with industry standard fittings built right in.
The photo below has been digitally enhanced to show detail and the approximate location of the pins within the footboard. To set up your bed, simply connect the rail to the headboard and footboard.

DELIVERY INFORMATION: Atlantic Furniture ships directly from the manufacturer. Most pieces are too large to ship by UPS or FedEx. Instead, these items are generally shipped via motor freight. Please note that, for all Motor Freight Deliveries, you must be present to sign for and inspect your order. A driver will call ahead to schedule a delivery time window. For this reason you MUST provide a delivery phone number with your order.
CURBSIDE DELIVERY: Items shipped by this method will be delivered to your curbside or driveway. Standard motor freight delivery service does NOT include bringing the item into your home, removal of packaging material or assembly. In many cases, a freight company will offer these services for an additional charge. You may inquire with the freight company available options when they call you to schedule the delivery of your item(s). If such an arrangement is made, you will pay the freight company directly for any additional services. If you are ordering a very large item and you do not wish to hire the freight company to bring your item(s) inside, be sure to enlist the help of a friend or two to help you unload and carry the piece(s) indoors.
INSPECT PACKAGE(S) BEFORE SIGNING BILL OF LADING: The most important thing to remember about motor freight is that you MUST inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box is at all damaged or if for any reason, you are concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that the driver asks you to sign. This insures that if there IS any damage to your furniture, correcting the problem will be easier and there will be a lot less red tape involved.
INVENTORY STATUS: Due to the popularity of Atlantic Furniture, inventory levels sometimes fluctuate rapidly. If you need a definitive stock status report about a particular item, please email us and we'd be happy to check on it for you. If you happen to purchase an item that is out of stock, we will contact you to let you know and you will have two choices on how to proceed. We can either cancel your order and refund your payment in full or you can choose to wait on the item and we will get it shipped out to you as soon as it's back in stock.
RETURN POLICY: Due to the extremely high cost of freight for furniture items, furniture returns are not accepted. Atlantic packages each item very carefully. As a result, they have an exceptionally low delivery damage rate. Nevertheless, it is very important to inspect your package carefully prior to signing the bill of lading for the delivery driver. If the box is at all damaged or if for any reason, you are concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that the driver asks you to sign.
DAMAGED ITEMS WILL BE REPLACED UNDER THE FOLLOWING TERMS: Damaged items noted at the time of delivery and marked on the bill of lading will be replaced free of charge along with the freight costs associated with sending the replacement. Concealed damage noted after delivery (not marked on the bill of lading) will be replaced free of charge, but the freight costs associated with sending the replacement item will be charged.
