This boat measures 19.75" long and has a width, at the middle, of 5.25". The hull is hand carved from a single piece of what looks to be pine, and you can see the adze or carving marks on the inside, through the paint. The hull is painted blue on the interior and white, black, and red-brown on the exterior. The paints look to be commercial pigments (house paint) with the exception of the blue, which has a flat surface and looks similar to old trade paint.
The bow has a separate applied, carved wood rim (3 pieces), painted red and black and secured with old nails.
As you can see, there are three flat seats, carved to look like they are made of logs, which are attached to the hull with a basketry type material. In reality, each of these seats is made of a single piece of wood, rather than separate 'logs'.
There is commercial twine used to attach the side rails at the rear and there are holes in the front seat, \
