Description
Dragon Ball Z fans, the wait is over. DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI 3 Limited Edition is here for the PS2 from Atari. The third in the Budokai series, Budokai 3 brings back favorite characters, updated fighting techniques, and tons of unlockable features. Budokai 2 players, be ready for some shocking new abilities in the eight-tier tournament mode. With a few taps of the controller, your character can teleport behind the enemy for a surprise attack, and when both combatants use their massage energy attack, a beam struggle occurs as the two beams try to overpower each other. Super attacks are based on the Ki meter, which is filled by landing successful attacks in sequence. With enough Ki, your character can transform into super mode. With four bars of Ki energy, you can enter hyper mode, which gives characters a fiery red glow and devastating new attacks. The most powerful of these attacks is the Dragon Rush, an over-the-top attack that brings up an anime cut scene when used.Story mode is back, this time called Dragon Universe. Here's where extras can be found as you explore the world map and gains experience for battles. Also included are the standard verses mode and practice mode. If you're a Dragon Ball Z fan, you want Budokai 3 it's as close to being in the anime as you can get. New fighting game players, here's your chance to explore both a new genre of gaming and one of the most popular animes of all time.

Special Features
The voice acting cast of the Dragon Ball anime worked on Budokai 3, making the game flow perfectly with the anime series. Special attacks often cut to scenes from the anime as well; after gaining experience in the Dragon Universe story mode and increasing character's stats, players are given a code that can be posted on Atari's website. When entered in the game, these codes allow players to battle each other's customized characters; the Limited Edition also includes an exclusive action figure of Broly Chibi wearing his in-game alternate costume, a DVD documentary featuring the U.S. voice actors and a Budokai 3 Super Trailer video. The DVD also contains a URL linked to a webpage containing a sneak peak of upcoming DRAGON BALL Z games.
