Description: 

 

Notre Dame of Paris – Offered is a beautifully framed vintage, ca. 1890s photo of the facade of the cathedral with a horse drawn carriage pulled up to the front portal. The well over 100 year-old photo measures approx. 10.5” X 8” and is in excellent condition. The walnut frame, measuring 15’ X15, is in good condition with several small chips in the gold leaf.  This is an historic photo perfectly married to a period frame. Another gem from the Carl Bixby Sadler collection.

 

We recently obtained a great collection from Seattle area collector Mr. Carl Sadler. Mr. Sadler was a great lover of Handle and Bach"s music . He had a faboulas collection of Handle and Bach related items, as well as many rare prints and photo. I'll be listing many Handle related engraving, antique sheet music-- from the estate.
