Album notes
This 2008 comedy album features "Nana" Gladys Hardy, purportedly an 88-year-old woman from Austin, Texas who became an audience favorite when she called in to Ellen DeGeneres's popular TV talk show. I LOVE JESUS, BUT I DRINK A LITTLE showcases Hardy's gentle-yet-hilarious persona, particularly on "Little Monday," where she defends the much-maligned day of the week, and "Sweet Tea Rights," which finds Nana dismayed by a lack of Southern-style iced tea.
