Do you enjoy the look of Shaker-style furniture? Are you looking for a charming chair to add the right touch to your country or shabby chic décor? Or do you know someone who is looking for a vintage chair to practice cane-work on? Then this is the lot for you!

Up for auction is a beautiful chair I found at an estate sale in Little Rock, Arkansas, many years ago. The owner used it as a corner chair in their library and kept a stack of books and magazines on it.

I don’t know whether this is genuinely old or built to look old, but this piece appears to have genuine age to me. It has a woven seat, but a few of the cane/reed slats are broken on the edge.

This would be a perfect gift for someone who enjoys weaving cane seats (Locally, Cuyahoga Falls offers classes in this at Lions Park lodge).  This is also a great decorative item and would be great in a corner of a home library or on the front porch, with a pumpkin or basket of fall flowers on the seat.

The chair measures approximately 34 inches high. The seat measures approximately 16 inches across at its widest point and 13 inches deep.

If, at the end of the auction, this lot has no bids it will not be relisted. If you are the winning bidder, we are happy to arrange a time for an evening or weekend pickup of these items.

These items are located in Stow Ohio, which is in Summit County Ohio, near Cuyahoga Falls, Silver Lake, Kent, Tallmadge, and Hudson. It is approximately 45 minutes from Cleveland and two hours from Columbus.
