The Kohl Center opened in 1998 in Madison, Wisconsin and is named in honor of United States Senator Herb Kohl, who donated $25 million to the project. The facility is home to the University of Wisconsin hockey and basketball teams, for both the men and women's programs. It's the third largest indoor venue in the state, with a hockey game capacity of more than 15,000.
