NO RESERVE! 16mm B&W VAN BEUREN CARTOON -- THE OFFICE BOY (1930) -- DIRECTED BY JOHN FOSTER & HARRY BAILEY !!!

Offered is an excellent condition new 16mm black and white (the way it was originally made) sound print of a VAN BEUREN cartoon titled THE OFFICE BOY (1930), directed by JOHN FOSTER & HARRY BAILEY, and starring Van Beuren's Mickey and Minnie Mouse look-alike rip-offs.

"A boy mouse works in an office and flirts with the secretary, a girl mouse. The big boss tries to chat up the secretary, too, but the office boy shows the boss's wife into the office. The office boy is happily reunited with the secretary, while the boss gets beaten up by his wife. The office boy and the secretary ride away from the office on a train, singing a love song together. The boy and girl mouse looked so much like Mickey and Minnie that Disney made Van Beuren Studios curtail these characters in the early 1930s. They returned as Oscar and Daisy." (BCDB)

This print is on black and white stock with good contrast, with no lines and no splices (except for those that were in the original pre-print). It is about 400 feet long wound tight on a good 400 foot plastic reel with leaders at both ends of the film. There is no vinegar smell to this print.
