This is an original 1952 movie poster for "Zombies from the Stratosphere". This is the larger 3-sheet version, which has different artwork and is much harder to find than the one sheet version. Of course, there are two parts to the poster and not three, that is just the terminology. The poster measures 41" by 81". It is thinner paper than a one sheet poster, and so the paper is more delicate. The two pieces were originally folded, and this one looks like it has been folded for a long time. There is yellowing along the fold lines (although this is not noticeable from the front) and it does not want to lay perfectly flat because the folds are so strong.
I rate this poster in at least very good condition. The colors are bright with no fading. There are no noticeable missing pieces of paper, no smudges, no stains. There is no tape and no pin holes because no one ever tried to hang it up on a wall. There are, however, tears at almost every crisscross of folds, most are just pinholes or very small, but there are a couple of larger tears. If you look at the close-up of the zombies outfits, follow the fold lines down to below their belts. The areas of blue are the sheet that is under the poster. One of the pics of the back view of the poster also shows the two same tears. These are the largest ones. They will look better when the folds are flattened. There are also three edge tears, two of which I have pictured. Finally, there are a few areas of tiny slits along the fold edge. I took a pic of the worst area from the back of the poster where it is easier to see it. This will be a great poster when displayed properly. I guess the sci fi fans know that, even though there is no credit on the poster, Leonard Nimoy was in this movie.
