9&7/8" x 9&1/8" three ring hardcover binder type cover, 455 pages w/index, richly illustrated in color, McGraw Hill publishers, stated first edition / first printing, 1961 copyright. Complete with blue reference index tab pages The boards had become seperated from spine at one time and had been held together with strips of tape which were removed and instead I took the neater approach of just applying thick strips of strong tape to inside front(see pic) and one also in back. If that look bothers you, there is a plastic guard in front and back that covers the tape to an extent(see pic). Holds very well, from outside all you see is just thin seperation at sides of spine(see pic). There are small pieces of spine that had broken off of at front and rear edges, also 3 sliver pieces have also chipped off left edge of front board. First couple of pages a bit wrinkles around edges, page 7 reinforced at the holes, 2 of the final index pages also reinforced at holes, final index pages 444 to book's end do show some edge wear, final page with tan line in back. Small corner page 445 torn off. 295-97 have folded corner, only occasionally is there light edge wear, most of the pages are fine, clean, no writing, stains or rips. Where the strips of old tape were removed from cover a sticky residue is left behind which I did not want to clean in fear of damaging the book further.
