Early antique chinese blue and white pottery jug with pour spout. Thought to be an old oil jug/pot. Underglazed blue on white primitive handpainted details/design on one side and chinese writing or caligraphy on the other side. Pour spout and applied decorative handle type details around the neck.  5 1/2" tall  as well as wide, and heavy of weight. Sturdy made to last construction. Base shows red stamp type marked thought to be an export seal mark that used to be applied to all items leaving the country. However this mark can not be used for dating as it was applied to any and all items  leaving port regardless of age. If anyone viewing this listing is capable of translating the chinese marks/writing please do so. This unique item appears to be a rather unique peice of pottery listed at auction, don't pass it up, add it to your collection today.
