Danish Cohr silver cup cake server 1944 |
This lovely piece is in good condition.
The knife blade is marked with the Danish silver assay mark of the three tower marks and the number 44 for the date 1944. The assay master's mark is that for Jens Sigsgaard and the maker is Carl M Cohr.
The cup cake server has a flat serving section in stainless steel. The silver handle has a fluted and stepped design.
There is a sharp indent to the side as shown circled in the photos. There is no other damage and there are no repairs.
The server is 175mm long and measures 73mm across the stainless steel serving section.
All my silver has been gently cleaned with non abrasive silver foam. As such there are still fine usage scratches visible. These could be polished by a professional if so desired.
For North American users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
Please note this item is original and not a copy or modern day reproduction.
