This listing has ended. Item:Reynolds Mellophonium Eb/F Marching Horn Plays Great! |
|
|
For awhile, Reynolds was making their own version of the Conn
Mellophonium design. The Reynolds version is interesting, with curved
braces and a built-in valve which switches the horn from Eb to F in
place of the separate tuning slide offered by Conn. This horn plays well. The valves move smoothly and have good compression. The bell has some "post-marching cellulite" where dents were removed. Comes with its original case and a tenor horn mouthpiece which suits it well. The shank is trumpet-sized. It doesn't take well to standard tenor trombone mouthpieces but it's great with an Olds trombone mouthpiece. |
