IT HAS BEEN MANY YEARS SINCE I HAVE SEEN EMBROIDERY LIKE THIS. IT DESERVES TO BE FRAMED OR IT SHOULD BE IN A COLLECTION.

THE CENTRAL MEDALLION HAS BEEN STITCHED ON TO THE HOOD WHICH IS MADE OF IVORY COLOURED SILK. THE BACKING IS HESSIAN AND LINED WITH GOLD SILK. THE TRIMMING AND FRINGING IS METALIC GOLD AND ALL ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE SILK HAS A PIECE MISSING, SEE PIC 8, I THINK A MOUSE HAS A RATHER OPPULENT NEST - SILK LINED! THE FACES IN THE MEDALLION ARE BOTH EMBROIDERED BY HAND, THE FEET AND HANDS ARE EXQUISITELY EMBROIDERED AND YOU CAN ALMOST FEEL THE FOLDS OF THE GARMENTS. EACH CROWN HAS A JEWEL IN THE CENTRE, RED AND TURQUOISE. THE OVERALL MEASUREMENTS OF THE HOOD ARE 29 INCHES X 29 INCHES.IF I HAVE LEFT ANY INFO OUT OR YOU REQUIRE MORE PICS, PLEASE EMAIL.
