US CURRENCY 1976 $2 FNR Old Paper Money Crisp Unc.!

Up for auction is a Series 1976$2 Federal Reserve Note in Crisp Uncirculated condition with a First Day of Issue cancelled stamp.

This is a very nice, clean & crisp US Federal Reserve Note.  The 1976 $2 Note was the start of a new Series, honoring our nation's Bicentennial.  The note has a cancelled 13 cent stamp dated April 13th.  The date is significant because this is the anniversary of the date Thomas Jefferson, whose portrait is on the front, was born.  The reverse shows a painting of the Declaration of Independence, of which Jefferson is a signer.

This note has a book value of $15 but retailers and certain TV shows often charge much more than this because of the note's popular demand.

This Note is still very crisp, clean and starchy feeling.  It has no folds, creases, pinholes, ink stains or missing pieces.  The Note has nice borders, especially the reverse, with crisp corners.  I would call it Crisp Uncirculated (CU), but please read the description, look at the pictures and be your own judge.

The note was issued from the Boston (1-A) Federal Reserve Bank.  For those who are trying to collect a complete set, this note was cancelled in Boston, MA.  This is also the birth of the idea for people having rolls of the new 2009 Lincoln Cents done in the same fashion.
