Extraordinary French Art Deco Bronze & Pink Marble Font



This marvellous vintage French  cross and font was probably made in the 1930's as part of the Art Deco movement.  The beauty and the quality of the workmanship on the gilded bronze is outstanding.  The pink marble is most unusual and gorgeous.    The piece is in great condition; the gilded bronze seems perfect, and the only problem with the rose marble is a flea bite on the upper right edge (fully visible in the 6th picture) ; the gilded bronze cross is about 5 inches by 3 1/4 inches, the full font is 9 inches by 5 5/8 inches. This is a part of my personal collection, all purchased in France and brought back by me to the United States,  that I am selling WITHOUT RESERVE.
