Grip takes two 2
NP-400 batteries. Built for Maxxum 7D because of the battery holders. I have a Sony A now and can not use this. English instruction manual included. Plus Japanese gibberish all over the place. I used this once a year ago. It is really new. I didn't pull it apart so the instruction are mute. You just have to put two batteries in it. Screw it into the tripod screw of the camera. Plug in the power cord to the AC jack on the camera. Choose to use two batteries at once or just one at a time. Select power source "A". Grip has two different shutter releases. If you flip your camera to take a portrait shot. A shutter button is on the bottom. No reaching over the camera to take a shot. A switch disables this function if not needed.
