“FIRST FLUTE” LEARNING THE NATIVE AMERICAN FLUTE MANUAL AND SONGBOOK. The flute and claw necklace are not part of this auction. Instructional manual to learn the NAF only. This book will help you learn to play the Native American Flute in an easy step by step format. It is the same method I used to teach my children and grandchildren how to play the NAF. The system with charts and finger hole placement teaches how to breath and extend breath control. The finger charts will lead you step by step until you can pick up the flute and go up and down the notes without pause. The following steps in the book help you to learn to compose your own songs - in an easy to learn format. The book also contains both Native American and popular American Folk songs. You will enjoy learning and playing. Nyeahweh - Thank you for looking. Chwe’n - Greetings My name is Harry. Some friends call me NakaneOnakwa. I am Dutch on one grandfather’s side and Native American on my Great Grandfather and Great- Great Grandmother’s side. I am not a registered member of any Nation, although my relatives are. My work is the conclusion of my life’s experience. For nearly 70 years I have been an Artist in every respect of the Native American Tradition. I stand by the quality and traditional workmanship that goes into every piece of my Native American art, flutes, knives, southwestern art as a silversmith, and in my pen and ink limited edition prints. I was raised off the Tuscarora reservation near Lewiston, N.Y. where I went to school. I still have friends and relatives of the Tuscarora. After working for about thirty-five years in corporate American, my wife Martty and I retired and moved to the Blue Mountains of Eastern Oregon near the Snake River and Hell’s Canyon. It is the ancestral home of the Western Shoshone and Nez Perce. Now I have more time for my art. Besides making Elderberry flutes I paint (in the traditional forms of my Pacific Northwest Coast brothers). I make custom knives and beadwork. I also work in silver and turquoise following the tradition and culture of my brothers in the Southwest. Martty is the recipient of most of my silverwork. I prefer Pay Pal. “Nyeahweh” Thank you NekaneOnakwa - Seneca/Mohawk |
